Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join a client in Fort Worth. This is a full-time, direct hire position.

The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for purchasing raw materials and managing the procurement process to ensure timely, cost-effective, and efficient supply in alignment with organizational goals.

Job Duties:

  • Send weekly forecasts to vendors and follow up on supplier commitments.
  • Review MRP reports and create, release, and manage purchase orders in SAP/Avatar based on requirements.
  • Reschedule purchase orders weekly according to updated MRP needs via email or PO Management in Avatar.
  • Monitor material status using MO Shortage and related reports; provide timely updates.
  • Resolve material issues, coordinate dispositions, and maintain communication between suppliers and internal teams.
  • Create MIT requests and coordinate with customs for cross-dock materials.
  • Oversee daily activities related to raw material planning, procurement, inventory control, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure timely arrival and receipt of assigned materials for production.
  • Conduct weekly audits of PO pricing for received and open orders; collaborate with A/P team on payment processes.
  • Manage return and scrap processes for defective materials, including RTV activities (shipments, debit notes, and tracking).
  • Prepare and monitor cross-dock material status, ensuring pending shipments are assigned correctly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience in ME or EE materials with knowledge of material characteristics and MRP logic.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing overseas suppliers or in supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and SRM software; advanced Excel skills.
  • Supply Chain certifications (APICS CPIM, CIPS, Six Sigma) preferred.
